Highlands & Castles
First stop was Grantown-on-Spey near the Cairngorms National Park with visits to Cawdor and Balmoral castles and their beautiful gardens. Additional images from Abernethy and Loch an Eilein.
Our second lodging was a cottage in the old fishing village of Johnshaven between Stonehaven and Montrose on the eastern coast. The gallery also includes images from Nairn, Elgin and Lossiemouth at the Moray Firth.
Edinburgh & Cullross
Driving back to Edinburgh we stopped over for lunch at Cullross village, lately also famous from the “Outlander” TV series. These images are included here with the shots from the Scottish capital – which a Glaswegian told us a few years ago is “for old people”. Suited us just fine…
Foreboding skies and ancient edifices cry for high-contrast black and white shots.
